Kagi Maldives Resort and Spa

A coveted wellness haven

What better place in the world for a you-focussed wellbeing journey?

This isn’t your typical resort with a spa. This is an immersive and soothing retreat where days are full of self-care, good-for-you (but delicious) meals, and restorative yoga sessions. We love the setting of the circular spa, which is perched above the lagoon, and the clean-eating restaurant Spa Corner.

Why we love Kagi Maldives Resort and Spa

  • A place to completely relax and reset in a holistic spa

  • Wholesome pursuits aren’t at the expense of a little decadence – there’s still a well-stocked wine cellar

  • All the villas have pools so that you can linger longer in your own portion of paradise

  • Eco-minded, with plenty of sustainability initiatives including sourcing fresh ingredients from the island’s herb garden

Gorgeously fresh food and a wonderful variety of international dishes, with some created with ingredients from the island’s garden, make dining at Kagi a real treat.

Ke-Un
An alternative spot for dinner – and a great lunch spot – is the ocean-view Ke-Un, serving Pacific Rim cuisine, so you can try Thai, Peruvian, Hawaiian, and Japanese dishes.

Noo Faru\ The main restaurant serves fresh buffet dishes. Breakfast overlooking the pool and ocean is a great way to start the day, while the international cuisine at dinner is the perfect way to end a day in paradise.

Spa Corner
A healthy dining venue over the water within the Baani Spa. Open for lunch and light dishes during the spa’s opening hours.

Ufaa
A poolside bar serving icy drinks and a light bite menu.

Nonna
A sophisticated al fresco spot serving a delicious Italian menu.

The Italian-inspired menu of Nonna is utterly delicious, but we also love the sensational Pacific Rim dishes on offer at Ke-Un (which has incredible views, too).

At Kagi Maldives Resort and Spa, it’s not just about spending a few hours at the spa. It almost feels as if the whole holiday is centred around your health and wellbeing. The striking Baani Spa is suspended over the lagoon and features four ocean-view treatment rooms.

An ocean-view fitness centre with a fitness trainer on hand. Complimentary group aqua aerobics sessions are available. Private training for functional and strength training, core, HITT, circuit training and kettlebell training.

A PADI five-star certified centre with a full range of PADI courses. There’s a huge variety of trips and dive sites, including Manta Point and channel diving with sharks, and turtle moments in Makunudu Garden.

The house reef can be accessed straight from the beach and is considered one of the best in the Maldives, with healthy coral and tropical fish, turtles, rays, and reef sharks. There’s also kayaking, SUP, mirage eclipses, sailing, windsurfing and glass-bottom kayaking.

Fresh water in glass bottles from the island’s desalination water plant avoid plastic bottles. Extensive use of natural materials and considerate architecture and design, including LED lights throughout the resort. Line drying is used for about 2,000 items a month, reducing the resort’s electricity use. The resort’s hot water requirements are met through a high-efficiency heat recovery system. Air-conditioners use inverter technology that continuously regulates the temperature, in combination with sensors in doors that switch the units on and off. A state-of-the-art composting machine recycles 60% of organic waste from the kitchen and restaurants.

A coral nursery where coral fragments grow to be transplanted back onto the reef. An extensive Herb Garden, nurtured with compost created from food waste and nutrient-rich irrigation from the water treatment ponds, supplies the resort with fresh produce.

Guests over 12 years are welcome at this resort.

Minimum stay: 3 nights.
