Originally designed as a romantic getaway, Amorita Resort is perched on a cliff above the Bohol Sea. Guests fall in love with the view from our Cliff Deck, which overlooks Alona Beach – it’s the best place to watch the sunrise in the whole of Bohol. With a private cove on our doorstep, you can swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters, which are famed for their diverse marine life. If you want to explore this underwater world further, we have a dive centre on site.
Amorita has an elegant, modern design with décor that celebrates our local heritage. For example, the interior was put together by world-renowned Filipino designer, Budji Layug, and our handicrafts have been made by local artisans. Resort highlights include the SeaTree Spa for relaxing treatments, a gym and two infinity pools with sea views. Amorita is the perfect place to relax when you’re not out exploring Bohol’s famous Chocolate Hills, waterfalls, Tarsier Sanctuary or nearby islands.
You have a choice of staying in our stunning pool villas or chic suites, all designed with a sustainable ethos. Amorita Resort is an ASEAN Green Hotel Hall of Famer and has a sustainability programme that focuses on reducing waste and conserving energy. Guests can take part in eco-activities like weekly beach clean-ups and our four restaurants have sustainable menus with ingredients sourced from local farmers and fishermen.
People often comment on how friendly and attentive our staff are and love Amorita’s personal touches, such as the locally-made bags embroidered with our guests’ names. We’re a 100 percent Filipino-run resort, so most of our staff are hired locally in Bohol and we like to support neighbouring schools through outreach activities. Guests can even participate in the book reading programme at the neighbouring elementary school if they like.
