Eco-friendly Mauritian luxury at Sunrise Attitude

Come to Sunrise Attitude for a slice of adult-only luxury on Belle Mare, one of the most untouched beaches in Mauritius. Our whole ethos is based around eco-friendly luxury, with a focus on wellness and reconnecting with nature. We overlook a long sandy beach where you can relax or join our yoga and tai chi classes – the crystal-clear waters here are perfect for snorkelling. You can also take our catamaran out for champagne cruises and indulge in holistic activities like music and dance therapy.

Guests have a choice of four different types of accommodation, including private pool villas and our unique swim-up rooms, which have direct access to the pool. The décor is Mauritian inspired with natural materials like wood and rattan with thatched roofs, decorated in shades of green and terracotta. We feature furniture and artwork made by Mauritian locals. As a peaceful adult-only space, we introduced a no-TV policy so guests can enjoy a digital detox and reconnect with nature.

When it comes to dining, we have four restaurants and four bars at the resort. We’ve put a focus on healthy dishes and provide plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. With our dine-around concept, you can enjoy buffets at The Market with live cooking stations, tapas at The Social House and Kot Nou for classic Mauritian or international cuisine. Don’t miss our sunset DJ sessions and cultural Sega shows with Creole music in the evenings.

At Sunrise Attitude, we’re committed to preserving the natural beauty of Mauritius. We have a zero-plastic policy and around 60 percent of our products, from our teas to vegetables, are sourced locally, including our handmade POZ Spa products. In fact, when you buy something from the spa, five percent of your money goes towards funding sustainable development projects on the island.  One of our most interesting initiatives is Rejuice, where we work with a non-profit called Foodwise to collect leftover fruits from markets to turn into juice – the profits are used to donate food to local people in need.

We call our staff at Sunrise Attitude family members. Guests regularly comment on our friendly Mauritian team; you can have the nicest hotel in the world but the people make all the difference. Guests also love our hotel for its eco-friendly credentials and they enjoy just being able to relax on the white-sand beach or by the pool – it really is a little slice of paradise.
