Guests love our quiet hill-top location away from the crowds, while still being just a few minutes’ walk from the town square….
Our hotel is unique because it was built by a French company in mountain chalet style, with natural wood, stone and bamboo, so it fits in with the landscape. It’s very different to the modern hotels in Sapa and was established 20 years ago, so we were one of the first in town. Now that Sapa is much busier, guests love our quiet hill-top location away from the crowds, while still being just a few minutes’ walk from the town square.
Our 77 rooms have views of famous Fansipan Mountain, the highest in Vietnam, as well as Sapa lake and gardens. You can also take in the scenery from our bar and restaurant, which serves Vietnamese and Western food. There’s even a cooking class where you can learn to make H’mong food from vegetables grown only in northern Vietnam. Victoria Sapa Resort and Spa is four-star but we aim to provide a five-star service and guests often comment on our friendly staff, who are from the local area.
Many visitors come up from Hanoi on the Victoria Express train, which runs daily except for Saturdays, and then relax in the hotel. The room rate includes use of our luxury spa, pool, tennis court, steam room and sauna. There’s also a massage service at an extra cost so you can fully unwind after hiking in Sapa’s rice terraces. As well as trekking, village and homestay excursions, our company focuses on activities to help the environment such as a Green Day garbage pick-up.
Your journey will start with one of our UK team – someone like Pam, who's travelled extensively in Vietnam. They’ll shape your ideas into the trip of a lifetime. But they won't do it alone. They'll draw on the expertise of our contacts on the ground, connecting you to the people who'll make your holiday one you'll always remember – the vespa rider who’ll whizz you round HCMC for a unique foodie tour, the guide who’ll take you fishing with locals at Chuon Lagoon and the ranger who’ll guide you to golden-cheeked gibbons to hear their dawn duets.
